Step #1: Preparing your files for uploading
Macintosh Files
Prior to uploading your Macintosh files to Fileship.com you must use Stuffit
to compress them. File compression is necessary to maintain the integrity of
the Macintosh file during the upload process.
Stuffit files will have a ".sit" extension added to the filename. A
free trial version of Stuffit is available at: http://www.stuffit.com/mac/standard/index.html
Windows Files
Windows files can be uploaded "as is" without file compression; however,
compressing Windows files prior to uploading them to Fileship.com will help
to reduce the uploading time, since the file size can be dramatically reduced.
The compression process is generally referred to as "zipping" a file.
WinZip is the most popular compression or zipping utility on the Windows platform.
A free trial version of WinZip is available at: http://www.winzip.com/ddchomea.htm
Step #2: Submission Form
Please fill out the form in its entirety. This will ensure that your document
are routed to the correct contact person.
Step #3: Uploading Files
Click the "Browse" button on your screen and select your file. You
can upload five data files at a time, but you must select them individually.
If you have more than five files you can compress them into one .zip or .sit
file.
You must then press "Submit."
Depending on the size of your file, you may need to wait for a few minutes
for the transferring process to conclude. Please do not click on any buttons
at this time - you will see a progress screen. When the transfer process is
complete, you will see a confirmation page and receive an email notification.
Otherwise, an error message will be displayed.
